Whart - On?

Whart: An adjective describing the process in which blondes attempt to think or brainstorm many ideas and their brain capability is too limited to retain any information whatsoever; a blonde moment or brain fart; not understanding shit because of your hair color.

Barbie was wharting away as Ken tried to help her feed the dog because she was feeding him lettuce.

"Is this tuna or chicken?" Jessica Simpson wharted.

This is not me but how urban dictionary defines "whart". (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Whart)

Surprisingly there is a MBA institute in the name of Whart - on; ooooopps not only "whart" but "whart - on". No wonder.... they invited Narendra Modi , got sponsorhip in his name and cancelled the invite to get further publicity.

Not surprising for those who understand whart-on.

There are several ways to understand any institute. One of the way is to understand the founders.

Joseph Wharton (1826 – 1909) was an American industrialist involved in mining, manufacturing and education. He founded the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, co-founded the Bethlehem Steel company among other business. In 1881 Wharton donated $100,000 to the University of Pennsylvania to found a "School of Finance and Economy" for this purpose.

This money was generated by the industries which used large number of slaves. Joseph Wharton's observation led him to a conclusion that immediate abolition of slaves would be disastrous to both blacks and whites. He wrote to his mother : I am satisfied that the institution of slavery cramps and weakness very greatly the negroes of the south,...it is plain that without the blacks the whole south would be a desert untill repeopled, as they (the whites) are too careless to work for anymore than enough to keep from starving if left to themselves. (Joseph Wharton, Quaker, Industrial Pioneer by W Ross Yates, pg 58)

Bethlehem Steel Corporation, America's second-largest steel producer and a subsidiary company, Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation, were two of the most powerful symbols of American industrial manufacturing leadership. Their demise is often cited as one of the most prominent examples of the U.S. economy's shift away from industrial manufacturing, its inability to compete with cheap foreign labor, and management's penchant for short-term profits. After the company's bankruptcy in 2001, the company was dissolved and the remaining assets sold to International Steel Group in 2003. In 2005, ISG merged with Mittal Steel.

So much of business sense from the companies of founder of Whart-on.

(Benjamin Franklin, The University of Pennsylvania's  founder, In 1730, at the age of 24, publicly acknowledged an illegitimate son named William, whose mother's identity is not known)

Another way to understand an institute could be through its alumni.

Raj Rajaratnam, hedge fund CEO, Galleon Group. Convicted of insider trading and as of March 2012, has received the longest sentence for a conviction of such (14 years).

Chaudhry Moonis Elahi a Pakistani politician, elder son of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, former Chief Minister of Punjab (Pakistan), nephew of Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, former Prime Minister of Pakistan. On the 17th of March, 2011, Chaudhry Moonis Elahi voluntarily courted arrest in connection with the NICL case to face the corruption charges brought up against him.

Michael Robert Milken an American financier and philanthropist noted for his role in the development of the market for high-yield bonds (also called junk bonds) during the 1970s and 1980s, was convicted following a guilty plea on felony charges for violating US securities laws, and for his charitable giving. Milken was sentenced to ten years in prison, fined $600 million, and permanently barred from the securities industry by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Timothy Rigas chief financial officer of Adelphia, one of the nation's leading cable corporations and his father, John Rigas were senetenced to 17 years .

PETA and others criticised Trump, Jr. in early 2012 for taking part in an African hunt, after TMZ.com posted images of his holding up dead animal body parts; both he and his more famous father defended his actions as providing game meat for the native peoples. Donald Trump, Founder and CEO, Trump Organization and Donald Trump, Jr., Executive Vice President, Trump Organization, both alumnus of Wharton.

Understanding an institute could also be through understanding the state it is based in.

There are nearly one million licensed hunters in Pennsylvania. Whitetail deer, cottontail rabbits, squirrel, turkey, and grouse are common game species. Pennsylvania is considered one of the finest wild turkey hunting states in the Union, alongside Texas and Alabama. Sport hunting in Pennsylvania provides a massive boost for the Commonwealth's economy.

Whart :)
